Besides being on a short hiatus, I've finally got out my box and went to take some pictures (mind you, they're mostly garbage.)

The event that was held on Sat(Aug 7) was Another Level Car Show. Didn't really plan to go but hey, what the hell. Went and met up with some o' da homies. All in all, a good time. Wish I would've snapped a picture of this kid hustlin' everyone, he was sellin' water and candy... out of a rolling cooler!

Anyways, it's 5am and there's a thunderstorm outside. Enjoy these pics while I sleep soundly.

So last night(June 10th) Kina Grannis was in Chicago!

As part of her Springtime Tour, she performed at the Beat Kitchen and I was lucky enough to be there and get a couple flicks and see her work her magic on stage. The show was an effin' success(it was SOLD OUT!) Beat kitchen was packed and it was getting hot up in the building! Josh Rosen, (whom was really good and funny) warmed up the crowd as he was the opener for Kina. The smile on my face stuck with me all night as the performance went on.

Thank you Josh and thank you Kina for stopping by Chicago, please come again!

People, please make room on the weekend of June 26th and 27th!!! This will be one of the most epic weekend to hit the midwest this year, I promise.

When: June 26 & 27

Where: USA International Raceway Shawano, WI. http://www.usainternationalraceway.com/

About the track: Internationally acclaimed kart track. Elevation changes, technical mid speed (2nd through 3rd), very tire friendly surface, drifter friendly rumble strips, etc. Full bathrooms, tech building, reg building, announcer tower, pool, mini karts, shifter karts, carnival games, etc. Lots of paved parking and paved paddock area.

About the area: Shawano is a small town near Green Bay between St. Paul & Chicago, north of Milwaukee. USAIR is a mile outside of town where you can find your typical gas stations, fast food, auto parts stores, Wal-Mart, etc.

Accommodations: Check back here but camping has been available on the grounds for a few bucks in the past, I wouldn’t anticipate that changing. Should go without saying, but please be respectful of the venue if you choose this route. Our hotels of choice are usually the Kiryat , Best Western or AmercInn, though there are others in town. Kiryat & Best Western are walking distance from the bar/bowling alley & Perkins. Google “Shawano Wi Hotels” for their specific info, it comes right up.

Entertainment: We’re sure it has a name, but nobody remembers it. There’s a bowling alley/bar across from the Kiryat Hotel that has cheap drinks, pool, darts, a dancefloor(?), bowling….and really…what more could you ask for? They know us, they love us, expect a good time. If you’re lucky, Stuntman will show up to dance.

Oh yeah, other stuff: See rules and regulations for tech info. Event format will be very loose. We can do a little comp, tandem stuff, whatever. Just drive and have fun. We are aiming to have stickers, shirts, small prizes and misc things as well. Spectator entrance is $20 for the wknd. Drivers get a +1.

Cold Morning

Breaking Old News: It's still freeeezing here in Central Illinois. Yesterday has left us with around 5-8 inches of snow and it sucks. Now it's blowing cold air up to 30mph, which is ridiculous! Hopefully the city will have the road cleaned up today because I really need to go to the locksmith and get my car keys copied since one is on the verge of breaking into two.

If you haven't heard, North Illinois had an earthquake this morning around 4AM with the magnitude of ~~4.3~~ 3.8. Too bad I couldn't feel it, it would have made my day. lol.

Anyways, I captured this while taking a smoke break. Man, midwest weather sucks.

Hopefully Monica will look as good or even better when I'm done being broke or after I magically win the lottery.

Well, if you haven't noticed, I had some free time so I've changed up the blog.

It is now a fully dedicated blog to photography (a bit of everything) & automotive events/randoms. (Made a different blog for personal life use.) Can't say that I'll update everyday since I will be gone for a while in a matter of weeks; BUT! I'll try my best to stay up with all the things going on until then, as spring is almost here, which means gooooooood times.

I'm trying to post more pics that I have personally taken but damn, winter season blows.
